PMMA, the lower density than glass, high mechanical strength, a low melting point (much lower thatn glass which is about 1000 degrees), high transmittance (92%; 73% by UV, comparison with the polycarbonate, PMMA has a better stability, allowing ​​infrared pass through which the wavelength smaller than 2800nm, applied to the remote control of thermal sensors, etc.); the transition temperature of glass is  about 105 ° C.

壓克力板-物理性質

PMMA的密度比玻璃低，機械強度較高，熔點較低(比玻璃約1000度的高溫低很多)，透光率較高(達到92％；紫外光透過73％，與聚碳酸酯相比，PMMA具有更佳的穩定性，允許小於2800nm波長的紅外線通過，應用於遠程控制或熱感應等)；玻璃轉化溫度為大約105°C。

HARD COATING表面硬化處理後特性

加強PMMA板之表面硬度，產生耐磨、耐刮效果，其最高硬度能夠達到 8H(MITSU-BISHI專業硬度鉛筆測試)，耐磨性特佳(鋼絲絨0000測試)，光澤度高，表面平滑如鏡，加工後板材容易切割，即使破裂碎片也不會潰散，耐候性極佳。
